    Hey guys,

An acquaintance of mine has the pistol in the pictures below for sale.

I know some of Browning hi powers, but not enough to make an educated decision on what I should offer. Can someone help me out on what year this was made, what variant and what the value is?

The finish and condition seems excellent!

The A prefix Hi Powers were 44-45 manufacture many from leftover German parts that were abandoned when the Allies closed in on the plant. That one appears to have been refinished so much of the historical value is gone, but it's still a nice pistol. Value on Hi Powers is all over from $500 to $1500 so it' worth what he can get for it. Sorry I can't be more help.

Offer him $500-600 and he'll probably take it.

It looks to be refinished, so it'll not be bringing the big bucks.

Many NIB Hi-Powers are 700$ + OTD. If you're negotiating for a war era
pistol for less, IMO you're on solid ground. From the pictures it seems like
a very nice gun. The one deal wrecker could be the rifling.

It appears from what one can see in the photos that all the serial #s match?
