I am due to get my notification to pick up my suppressor (.45 ACP thread pattern) any day, month or year now. I don't own a carbine, but I thought it might be interesting to own one with a threaded barrel that fits my suppressor. I searched a bit, but I did not see on in .45 so I'm wondering if anyone on this forum might know of a brand that has this combination...if not, what/where/is it possible to have an existing barrel machined to accept the suppressor?

Just right carbine makes a 45 version and they should have the option to thread the barrel for you if it's not standard

Yes you can thread any barrel to accept an suppressor as long as you have room. I have a Glock 21 SF .45 and bought an LWD threaded barrel for it.

There are some options on the .45 threads you can go .578x28 which my LWD Glock barrel is and then you have the Left Threads (16x1 LH) that's what my HK UMP has. So the issue is if you have one .45 suppressor I hope you can change the threads with an adapter. My Gemtech Blackside can do this also my AAC Ti-Rant .45 can accept adapters.

The pic below is my HK UMP the barrel is threaded 16x1 LH and the Gemtech suppressor is attached.

Also JJ on here (oneshot) can do threading for you.

CMMG just announced their Guardian in .45. it ain't cheap though

You can always use your .45 can on a 9mm as well. The 9mm are a lot more common and inexpensive.

Don't forget to get a fixed barrel mount/spacer of you decide to go the carbine route(assuming the can you've got coming uses a booster)

    Good Point...

On the HK UMP I do remove the LID (Linear Inertial Decoupler) and attach the adapter to match the threads of that barrel.

On the Glock I would have the LID back on to help aid with cycling the gun.

Well I did look at them (the 45)but the stamped out of tin painted black parts were a turnoff. The 9mm I got and modded, did shoot well but I just could not get over the cheap appearance

That's what B..Clinton said about H Clinton,,,till Monica come along and the all forgot about appearance when everyone seen the job got done...... LoL

If you can find one, the Marlin Camp 45 carbine is probably the best of the breed.

Those current Hi Point 45 Carbines ain't bad either...
only thing stinks about them is the low capacity mags.

MechTech CCU is a great option, you can take a 1911 or Glock version
    and rock it out :D
