I noticed Santa Rosa Shooting Center has rapid fire every Thursday and every other Saturday. Can you draw from the holster as well? Are there any local ranges where you can draw and fire from a holster on certain days?
Thanks for the info. I stopped by there a couple of years ago and looked around but couldn't remember if I asked them that question. Seems like I remember you had to be a NRA member and it was around $100 bucks a year. Sounds like the place to go if you don't have regular access to private property and want the freedom to do some realistic practice.
Ergc and core. Both are private clubs. The draw from holster thing is an insurance thing. Public ranges are not allowed by insurance regs. Both core and ergc are shooting sports friendly ranges. If you want to learn how to safely draw and use your pistol or carbine. Shooting sports is a great way. A "new" shooter is always mentored and helped thru matches. Picture 50 safety conscious pairs of eyes to help guide you or (private ) instruction. 14 new shooters and only one pair of instructors eyes.
