    Ok I am trying to ID this rusted paperweight for a buddy. Its a Remington and "OR" os on the left of the barrel. Serial Number 496688. Its a pump action, octigon barrel. Looks old as hell.

    I agree .. just went and looked at the one in the safe .. think it's a 12c .. got one in 22 rem special

    That's a candidate for a home parkerizing if I ever saw one ;)
    Or send it in for Cerakote...ain't like you can hurt the value,
    but you can have a working beater that looks good :)
