    This statement “there’s no evidence of a public health issue associated with hearing loss from gunfire.” shows that they don't have a clue.
    Every shooter I know has some sort of hearing loss.
    When I was younger, we didn't know about hearing protection, just like we didn't know about sunburn protection.
    I can remember my ears ringing for 4 days after blowing thru 3 boxes of .22 with my pistol.
    My left ear has a constant ring.
    Nowadays, I always wear hearing protection, even while hunting, especially bird hunting.
