They worth a damn in their stock configuration? Always wanted one in 9mm but never had a chance to shoot one. How's the stock trigger? Interested in one but dont wanna dump a bunch of money into one to make it a nice shooter.

You can get them pretty cheap on GB. Decent reliable gun, but the heavy bolt makes for more recoil than you'd think.

I have had one chambered in 45ACP for about 10 years now. The trigger is terrible as it comes from the factory. However,it can be quite easily smoothed out. Also,if you train with the trigger, you can learn to "slap" it like a shotgun trigger. All in all,it is ok.
The safety is extremely stiff. It is almost impossible to move it on or off, quietly. My gun is as accurate as can be expected. I can put 5 shots into 2.5 inches at 50yds using a red dot sight.
My gun is a close range hunter. Using the existing iron sights these guns would be a range "fun gun" or a good SD/HD gun with the proper ammo. Remember, with the added bbl length you will get an extra 100-150fps over a pistol.
These guns are fun to shoot, are light weight, and extremely compact. Would also be a easily worked truck gun. ---SAWMAN

I have one also... 9mm 92 Version. Takes same mags as my 92F pistol.

Had the barrel threaded and yes changed parts for 922r. Had Sierra Papa do the part change and trigger work on it.

    I would recommend one!!!

92 version all day. Mags are everywhere, including the 30 round fun sticks.

Got one in 9mm with the 92 mags. All most in love with it, it will shoot any thing that I put in it. Have run it out to 100 yds. pattern does change a little with difference ammo. Just my 5 cents jj

My Storm takes the Mod84 mags. They are "only" 8 shot. For hunting deer I have two of them blocked to hold 5.
I have heard that some of the non OEM mags can be somewhat picky. I do not own any.
I have also tried my gun at 200yds. I could hit a standing man fairly easily at that range with the 230gr Hornady XTP. At 300yds I could keep his head down. I get 1060fps out of the above factory ammo when it is advertised at 950 from a 5" bbl.
In the 9mm version these would be a fun gun to shoot . . . cheap feeding also. --- SAWMAN

All of this. 30 round 92 mags are tons of fun.

You can make the trigger a lot better in a few minutes by doing this: http://gulfcoastgunforum.com/showthread.php?17606-DIY-Beretta-CX4-Storm-Trigger-Job

My wife loves hers. I added a Streamlite light/laser combo and it's her HD gun. Stays loaded with Hornady Critical Duty.
Fun plinking too with cheap ball ammo.
