Florida has decided to expedite more than 50,000 concealed carry permit applications for active duty members of the military and military veterans.

...the decision stemmed from the attacks against military personnel in Chattanooga last summer.

I've recently had students who did the Ft. Walton Regional Office (fast track) and had their CWL back in a week. This of course is between episodes of panic and horde. But I've never had a student wait more than 6 weeks.

Mine just got approved, I've been waiting since July 29th. Approved on September 29th. A guy at work who is former military applied 3 weeks after me and got his back in 7 days. His civilian wife applied at the same time and got hers 2-3 weeks ago.

2 months for mine, evidently I've got too many stupid relatives

did a check of my first & last name on google, holy wow...
good thing I've got a rather unusual middle name...
but I imagine they still had to weed thru a lotta names & birthdates to make sure I was me
