Well, I finally completed my first AR-15 build. It is a combination of new parts, take offs from other AR upgrades and parts I received on trade. I wanted to keep it simple and low on price to make it easier to learn and not pass-out if I messed something up lol. The build was a great learning experience and a success! Thanks to everyone who helped with advice and parts!

Here is a run down of parts:

    Upper/Lower - Anderson
    BCG - PSA
Barrel - 1:9 twist take off a new rifle never fired
Hand guard - Colt take off
    Rear site - Magpul MBUS
Charging Handle - Colt take off
Fire Control Group - S&W take off
Butt Stock / grip - Colt take off

The other misc parts in the upper and lower are a combination of PSA, gun show purchases and take offs.

Looks good! I am pretty much finished with my first build and it does seem addictive. I already ordered a MagPul lower build kit from PSA for my next build.:)

Thanks and I'm looking foward to my next build. Gonna step up the quality on the next one, nothing crazy just gradually increase from build to build.

I did enjoy it a lot. Picked up some tools along the way that will make the build easier next time and enjoyed getting a more intimate understanding of the rifle. You recongnize that barrel Glock31c? I got that from you!

Yes I remember that barrel. I'm start to like them fix sights. Again.

Nice build, I'm contemplating doing my first build as well. If you don't mind me asking what did the buil run?
Just wondering if the build versus buy has any advantage.

Building one allows you to get the parts you want at whatever pace you decide to go. Unless you buy a high end rifle you'll most likely change out parts on the rifle at some point.
