Robertsdale, but I saw it on another forum from a guy up in Pennsylvania, he picked up 3 Ruger American for $170 each, posted a pic of his receipt. I went to my store and showed the sporting goods guy, he checked todays prices and started printing out yellow clearance tags with lowered prices.
I'll have to check the Fairhope Wally tomorrow. I was there yesterday and didn't see any rifles on sale. I'm always lusting for the Ruger Mini 14 they have in the case.
I'll definitely pay my local FWB Walmart a visit tomorrow and on Friday on the way to the hunting camp I'll check all those that I pass by, might be something I need (want)!
If you are lusting for a MARLIN 45-70 . . . take a look at the older, straight stocked,no safety,Mod 1895. Chop the bbl down to 16-18 inches and you will be . . . ."in love". ---SAWMAN
Sale means discount price. Clearance means they are discontinuing the product. It was only a couple months ago that wally made a business decision to stop selling AR type rifles. Remember, last week a sales rep told me wally corporate was floating word of discontinuing ammo which I thought was just in reference to 22LR which was the topic. What if he was actually talking about ALL ammo? This wally was ammo only no guns. IMHO it looks like wally is caving in to antigun politics and will soon get out of guns and ammo sales!
FWIW: I just did a online check of firearms at four Wallys that carried firearms. ONLY listing a couple Rem and savage ctr fire bolt guns and listed as availability UNKNOWN Instock info was very accurate in the past. A couple years ago I found a long gun in inventory qty (3). I bought one, came home to double check advertised price and inventory was now qty (2).
