    Item Description
WWll 1945 Remington Rand M 1911 A1. Has the United States property and the U.S. Army stamp. All the correct Proof Mark stamps are on the frame, slide and barrel. Including the Ordnance Inspectors mark of Col. Frank J. Atwood. The Ordnance department inspectors stamp is not complete but is there, looks like they were in a rush. Has the High Standard barrel. This pistol is in amazing condition for its age and runs like a tank. Comes with an 1943 Graton & Knight Co. Holster what looks like an original mag and a original British edition of Yank magazine dated March 11, 1945

No, not that old. No history just that it was made in 1945 and is issued to the army. Real clean and has the right matching proofs

Got one of them Remington Rands that I bought back in the sixties that I got through the NRA by way of programs they had back then, also got a M1 30 caliber carbine and other friends got these others 1903A3, 1917 Enfield's, M1 Grand's, fill out a form and send a MO and you got one as best as I can remember, good deal back them on them :thumb: but those days are long gone.

Grips are correct. All Remington Rand 1911 used plastic grips. Very early production used type 9 grips that did not have reinforcement rings around the screw holes. Later production used type 10 with the reinforcement rings.
