Rossi R92 (M92) Lever Action Rifle

    Cantonment

    PM best

    $475

NIB/never fired Rossi lever gun with blued 20" octagon barrel, case colored receiver, and crescent buttplate (model #R92-51203). Shoots both .357 mag and .38 specials (10+1 capacity). Comes with box and manual. I'm the original owner and got it last year, but it just sat in my safe. Although it is new/unfired, it has two EXTREMELY small blemishes on the stock from where a magazine fell off a shelf in my safe and hit the wood. It's not a scratch; more like a couple of tiny dents (see attached pics). We're talking about a VERY slight blemish on an otherwise BNIB rifle. You might not have even noticed it, but I like to be upfront about things like that.

I bought it for $550 out-the-door (still have receipt), but I will sell it for $475.

Also, I've been thinking about building my first AR, so I would consider a partial trade (plus cash) for a new/unused lower receiver....in case anyone has one laying around. Thanx.

Bump for final price drop to $475. Surely I wasn't the only one who grew up watching John Wayne movies :)

Is the discoloration on the steel normal or is that how it comes?

the coloration is from the maker, which was representative of that time...

I have a SAA , in .357mag with the same features....kind of like toning on a old silver coin...

If I hadn't gotten bitten by a bug that infected me with the dreaded BRD (Black Rifle Disease) I would of already been trying to buy it, but with 1 AR15 recently bought and a kit coming in to build another I would have to find somewhere else to lay my head.

Yep, caveman, case hardening it is! Thanx.

MarkS, I hear ya. BRD is a serious affliction with no known cure. I'm just hoping to find someone with LAD (lever action disease) :)
