The Sunday match, Feb. 21, is a four stage pistol match to be followed by a Shotgun side match. Details for stages to be forthcoming soon. The Saturday match, Feb. 27th, will be the Classifier. Study HARD !!

More than his priorities need adjusting! I'll be at the Sunday match for sure and trying to find a way to help run the classifier match as well.

Any idea yet as to the rounds needed for the "shotgun" side match? Bird shot, slugs, buckshot? Need to pick up some slugs and/or buckshot if those are the loads. Thanks much!!!

Shot size no larger than # 6, that means 6, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, 9 or 12 and slugs. No 6, 5, 4, 2, or BB, etc. Quantity: no more than 5 slugs will be used and no more than 25 shot shells. You may wish to bring extra in case you need a re-shoot.

Crap. I wont be in town for the shotgun match. Dammit. But my girlfriend will.

How does the shotgun match work? She should give it a go but never seen one in action.

We usually have mixture of slug targets (paper) and birdshot targets (steel). Tell her to try it -

We won't be shooting any steel targets, just cardboard and clays, so steel shot would be okay if you want to use it up.

We always try to start shooting the classifier since is 90 rounds long at 800 am to get it done. If we have 50 people show up again to shoot it, we won't finish until late. Maybe 830am for you poor challenged souls. We even have folks coming from Crestview and Niceville travelling a fur piece to get it done. Hope you can make it. Go to bed early and get plenty of sleep.
