A little 45 Ruger Vaquero love. 1993 7.5" case hardened color model and a 2005 3.75" stainless Birdshead model.

Finally got a chance to play with my new camera lens today, then this happened when I was getting the camera setup to take a photo of my new/old G34:

The wet ash left a pretty cool design on the slide, so I took a photo of it before cleaning it off:

This is what our Florida humidity will do to firearms. This one was in a dresser drawer between some clothes that are also ruined.
My sister put this 38 special up and forgot where she put it for 7 or 8 years. I’m going to try to get the grips off and soak it in oil for a week before trying to clean it up. I don’t think it will ever be safe to shoot. View attachment 62440

Get some Eastwood Rust Remover. Remove grips then submerge it for a day. If topical rust is still present, submerge for another 24 hours.
at this point binding rust should also be desolved. Rinse and disassemble revolver. Retreat as needed. Punch cyclinders and barrel. Oil coat surfaces to protect them until your ready to refinish, inspect/repair/replace parts as needed.
It should be salvageable, but never a beauty queen. Good luck
