I have a piston operated AR-10 (DPMS pattern) that I want to modify.

I need someone who can shorten the rod on the piston, and drill a new hole where the gas block will be moved to.

    Thanks in advance,

    Garrett

JJ (oneshot) would be the only one brave enough to possibly take that. My recommendation? Sell it and buy what you want. Good luck, Sir.

    JJ,

This was the firearm I sent you the PM about.
I am doing this project because there is no other firearm made like what I am trying to build.

This one will be a one off.

    Thanks,
    Garrett

Seems there is going to be a lot more involved than simply drilling a new hole and shortening a rod.

What are you going to do with the original hole? Tig weld it closed? Leave a plugged gas block covering the hole?

Wouldn't you also need to have the barrel turned down to gas block diameter to the point of where you want the new gas block?
