Ok, so I needed to organize my safe and wanted to incorporate some type of a pistol stand. 3 oak dowel rods cut to 6 inches, one oak board and one piece of square oak stock cut once, wood glue. $20.00 for all at Lowes. You can use different size dowel rods and make it a larger or smaller. This one was my first attempt, would space the bottom dowels a little farther apart next time. Project time, about an hour and a half. Chaos

Im wondering what the top row was for?

How did you drill the holes for the dowels all at the same angle?

Top row is for more pistols, you could use smaller dowels on the top row for 9mm, 357 or 38 and then you could have more availability. I would space the bottom row a little be farther apart if I were to make another one to let them hang more freely. I used my drill press and angled the table to drill all the holes the same angle. So the top row pistols would be meant to hang between the bottom row pistols?

Yep, and they do, its a little tight, hence the better spacing next time..but it works great, a lot less space being used and much less safe bumping the firearms!

Thats really very nice, but its also a lot of room to give up for 9 guns?
