I live in Louisiana but my son lives in Panama City he has a DD 214 honorable discharge am I correct in guessing that all he needs is that and some fingerprints and 100 or so dollars?

    Thanks

DD 214 will suffice to fulfill the firearms training requirement.

The best way is to go through the Florida Department of Agriculture which has an office in FT Walton. They will do everything for you, fingerprint, photograph and then send it in You should get the ccw license back in less than a month. The application fee is right round $117.

While I do agree that Ft. Walton is the best way to go I can tell you that average waiting time is between 8 and 12 weeks. I am on my 8th week and still waiting.
