February 2015 matches - Classifier

Both match dates in February will be The Classifier. That consists of a minimum of 90 rounds. You should be an IDPA member to shoot the Classifier so that the score counts towards your classification.

I'm assuming it's the same as the other classifier's, which is the same as any other match. I've never seen them chrono, weigh, or measure anything. I'm sure it's different for local matches than it is for sanctioned matches.

Cool I guess I'll expect a longer day I watched the videos of how the classifier is ran..now to find my IDPA cards that I already lost

The one I went to this past fall went pretty quickly. There were 3 or 4 classifiers setup and a small group was assigned each one. Each person in the group took turns shooting string 1, then everyone took turns shooting string 2, then the same with string 3, then it was over. Also, there might not be a huge turnout.

with both ranges open, we've been getting done with the classifiers pretty early.

Since this is your first classifier, we'll have to weigh all of your cartridges individually and see if your pistol fits in THE BOX and check your holster with the dowel rod to make sure there's no daylight between your pants and the inside edge of the holster, and check to make sure you don't have your holster and mag carriers too far forward. Don't forget, no Appendix carry, either. Oh, and stick out your tongue and say AHHHH !!!! Welcome to the club !!!
