I have been thinking about this one lately. If you had a choice, what 1911 would you like to unwrap this Christmas? Just in time for Black Friday!

Wilson Tactical LE with traditional barrel rather than bull barrel, I have a close enough for me in the SA TRP, but the Wilson would be nice.

If I pay that much, it becomes a safe queen. I own shooters, not queens so I would opted for a RIA Tactical full size to go with my commander.

Quite the opposite. Mechanics invest in quality tools for lots of use. A good-fitted 1911 parts will wear longer than universal fit parts. You are paying gunsmith hours fitting quality parts on a high end 1911 not just the finishing part. Knowledgable gunsmiths will only do sub 4lb trigger jobs from quality parts. Just from my experience.

Hmm...Ed Brown Kobra carry or the Wilson CQB. Top one would have to the build your own week long course that was on another thread recently, around 5k after you're done.

I know Dan, I have to admit I see why people pay that much it is a really sweet shooter I just feel like I need white gloves on to shoot it. I thought it was a pretty fair price as I would be a complete hypocrite to ask more.

That's not expensive! In fact, it's a really great deal. GLWS!

That's how I feel about my Les Baer, especially because it's blue, and it's a more fragile finish, but I have to keep telling myself that any and all wear can be fixed by a $300 trip back to its maker.
