I do not have a person or shop to recommend to you, but will offer some advise from personal experience. Refinishing wood stocks is an excellent way to become familure with your firearm. Sanding and staining just takes elbow grease. Tru Oil for the smooth finish. Stock repairs may require an experienced individual. If you need help with a refinish or have detailed questions feel free to drop me a PM.
Agree with blackhawks statement. If the firearm is rare and/or valuable then I'd recommend a pro...but I've refinished several stocks with birchwood Casey true oil with extremely good results (and a bottle costs about 6$ and its good for at least 2 stocks) with some elbow grease and fine sandpaper youd be surprised how well it turns out.
