So me and a friend had and amazing time Wednesday night on the Tensaw Delta hunting Racoons. Got our limit of Racoon.Plus shot some squirrels before it got dark an started coon hunt. Now i have prepared and cooked one for my work Thanksgiving dinner!!! Its gonna be great watching these snoody coworkers turn nose up and laugh. Sure some will try it? Looks like it will taste great? I am the only redneck at my job LOL!

Looks great. Never ate racoon, I'd love to be there to see the "reveal" though. Is it similar to rabbit?

Dam idiots that don't at least try something and form an opinion about something will never know what they are missing.

I've ate all different game cooked many different ways. Yes some sucked but mostly because of how it was prepared. Some guys & gals know how to add spices and vegetables and gravies & broths to game to bring out the flavor.

Also who ever processes the kill and knows how to is a big plus.

Stanley it looks good and to hell with the idiots at least one dish there was prepared without the toxins & chemicals most farm raised cattle, pork & chicken get

I agree Bac. I've never had coon but I'll give anything a try. I do think a lot of people get turned off because of poor prep or cooking. The rattlesnake I had was really pretty good. The guy that killed, prepped and cooked it was very experienced in cooking game. Unfortunately, I've never had deer meat that I liked but I'm 100% sure the guys that prepped it didn't know what they were doing.

Way to go Stanley. If I had been there I would have given it a shot.

Well tell us. How did it go. You have got to have a story or two.

It was a big hit. Groused a bunch out. About 8 out of 50 tried it. Those that ate it loved it. Mainly was a shock and awe factor dish that made the day worth talking about. Most of them took a pic for Facebook to let their friends enjoy in the ragging. They r still talking and making jokes about currently. If u know what a Arkansaw toothpick is then u know what some of the jokes have moved to.

FYI racoons actually have a dick bone and pointy on one end thus the nick name Arkansaw toothpic. Its been a great day
