Just to play devil's advocate here ( dont know either party) .....the link you gave lists Hatecheese as sending a pm first.
Looks like the seller DID tell you that it was still available after that....who knows why..... but seems like he might have been committed to sell to both of you at one point.
You did post more of an "I'll take it"....so I'd give that point to you......however - Hatechees's PM may well have been that he would take it.....so not so clear who was at fault.
Does piss you off though when it seems like you get screwed. I have had sellers seemingly ignore me completely, and sell to someone further down the line! ( and they didnt even know me!

First "I'll take it" on a forum sale ad should get the gun. That will always be the case when I'm selling.

I agree with that, and always abide by it in my dealings on the forum.
Just saying.....a lot of people have no sense for this sort of thing. Many probably don't even read the rules that are posted....let alone the ones that are implied.
You should have to complete a mini course with a short test at the end to be able to post something for sale.

I had lunch with hatecheese on Friday, 10/17. Ironically, he did have cheese with his lunch.
But that's beside the point.

He said he sent a PM about the A-bolt stating something along the lines of "I'll take it, pending inspection."

No questions on this one. In PM conversations, I told him I wanted it and we set up a time for me to call him to meet up.
I saw he posted SPF. I thought it was me.
The next post sold to someone else, was shocked
