don't know bout FLA, but bama is on 10/25 !!

we are red-I and wait'n. snakes are bad, but we are scanning like commando's for them.

we got the new style snake chaps and there really not as big, bulky and hot as the previous styles.
they will be tested this weekend. grandkids will not be with us and we plan on getting a lot more done,
if my son don't lay-up all night and bail on me...:tsk:

we really don't have much more to do but its in high % of our fanged friend's area !!!

how many yall are in "can't wait mode" as I ???

I ready I can't stand it hurry up 10/25 in Fla too I'm hunting on WMA yep it sucks but I got two sweet spots and I'm going to give it hell

I'm in the same mode. Can't wait and getting really antsy. Now with this slight chill in the morning y'all should be ok with the snakes. Cold morning will keep them from moving as much. Be safe!

cold is different than cool....by 9-10am, there looking for solid sun !! like in paths, roads and open low cover areas
just right for folks walking.

lets get a solid 50 over night, then i'd suspect a slow movement.

area's are different...i'm dealing with positive attendances:hungry:

Man I hear everyone talking about snakes and the 8 years I have been hunting FL I have only stumbled on black snakes thats it. Not one rattler, not one cotton mouth. (knock on wood) Be safe!

Gotta start freshening up my bow skills too. On a side note, using my special "I'm just looking at powerlines" privileges, I looked at the archery facility off mobile hwy. That's a very nice setup, I'll try to go one Thursday evening when it's open.

I certainly have to get my stuff together otherwise I probably won't be able to hunt with my bow at least. Waited an entire year for nothing, not going to let that happen.

I used to get my arrows wrapped like that (not the same colors). I found it better to use the quick fletchs. If I mess one up at the house I can fix it quick an easy.

have yall tried the IGNITOR NOCK ??

I am an absolute lumenok fan....but now I tried the ignitor from nu-fletch...its mighty fine

my hand built arrows will be tote'n the ignitor.

2nd grab will be with the lumenok.

i'm shoot'n horizontal, so your mileage may vary if your vertical.

I've had lumenoks but they're finicky btwn on n off. Had a couple burn out in my bow case. I almost bought some noctrunal green nocks today. Gonna wait a bit till the bow is sighted in.

I forget witch one's I had. The one's with a magnet. They seemed ok did away with the gadgets. So I have less to worry about. Now it is just a speed nock. Nice an simple.

I've had'um all and none beats the ignitor. simple & easy. but I still will have the lumenok for back up.
until I score a few with the ignitor.........
