Yeah, I know a few people that have had great, fast success stories with that. I am eager to see what will happen once some of the other forms become available for e-file.

I have tried but personally I can't feel the need for one, I do like short shotguns but 18" is plenty short enough for me, $200 cheaper, and less headache, anytime you get stopped anywhere. Maybe if I shot a SBR, I might feel the love, so nobody offer please.

What best to set up a trust or wait until you get gun or all the money ?

If you are going the trust route do it before you purchase or you will have to pay twice - once to acquire and once to put on the trust. Trusts can be done in a matter of a couple of days with the help of an attorney or if you are comfortable - do it yourself trusts are available on the net. If you use an attorney make sure he does NFA trusts as part of his business - likely will be cheaper and he will be familiar with all the options. Prices that I have heard for a lawyer putting the trust together run from $200 - $300 depending on what options with the trust you want. Simple trust is good for just you and anyone else you name as joint owner. Generational Trusts run for 300 plus years and allows you to name successors of the trust when you die and those who will follow in in succession which means they can inherit your class three items as long as they can legally do so without having to apply and pay the $200 for each item you purchase and put on the trust.
