Sporterized Swede 6.5 needs muzzle brake

1904 CG Swedish Mauser 18 in barrel
Monte Carlo stock & low thumb safety
I believe it was sporterized in the 50's it had a Weaver K-3 60-B 3 power?
I upgraded the scope to a Bushnell 4.5x18x40 AR-223 scope (close ballistics match out to 500)
I've been working up some loads & the muzzle blast is impressive, clears EVERYTHING off the hood LOL
does anyone have a recommendation on an inexpensive & effective muzzle brake ?
I'm thinking an A-2 Birdcage bored out for the 6.5, it worked well on my 9mm carbine

What is the barrel thread?

I've got a DPMS Miculek Muzzle Brake that wasn't too expensive.

The ½"x28 AR brakes are usually quite a bit cheaper than the ⅝"x24 for the 30cal.

Just read up on the Miculek,,, might haf'ta try it,,, I haven't threaded it yet,,, gonna take it in to Copeland's tomorrow, see if Danny has time

I'm waiting on a muzzle guide & tap to do it myself right now, then I want to find one with no bottom ports
