Form 1 make/register. (Most people use this to make SBRs)
Form 4 transfer to an unlicensed individual/register. (Most use this to transfer suppressors. You can transfer a SBR, but what fun is that?)
As mentioned above, Form 3 is a dealer to dealer transfer.

And yes Nate, as soon as Form 4's come back, Ill be hurting my wallet.

Like I said in the last thread, I have been down the Form 1 road. And willing to help anyone.
Form 4's, Id have to direct you to Nate above.

Is Eforms for a Form 1 easy to do? And can you provide a link to Eforms or do we need to go to a dealer?

    Thanks

Steve the Trust can be done by any attorney but a firm that does gun trusts is best, you can also do yours online by yourself. As an individual you still have the longer process and not online.

    Thanks

Thanks Frank! I have a trust set up already for the Suppressor. If I could post a picture, I would, of my new "rig" I want to SBR.

    Thanks Don!

Well if you already have a trust the vendor of whatever you are buying will file the Eform for you, at least most do.

Who do y'all have engrave your receivers? And how much do they charge?

In the past I have had Award Masters do my engraving, they are reasonable and let you go back and babysit the process, great to deal with.

    Edit:

I can't remember exactly how much, they charge per the letter just like they would for anything else though.

Will I see an update on the website at any point? The charges hit my card the day I submitted the forms as pending charges, and were finalized the following day.

I see the Created date, Submitted date, I assume the finalized date will be when the form is approved, would it be considered pending when it is assigned an internal control number?

I just need to stop logging in and checking, it is going to make the wait that much longer. With the paper forms I just sent them and forgot them, this makes it to easy to obsess!

Mine never changed till it was approved.
I did check the thread on ARF for when times around I submitted were getting approved to get an idea of how far out I was.

Ok thanks, in that case I will stop compulsively checking the site for an update :D.

    Good Afternoon Registered eForms Users:

ATF is pleased to announce the return of the following eForms to active service: ATF Form 5 on 8/27/2014, ATF Form 9 on 9/2/2014, and ATF Form 5300.11 (AFMER) on 9/5/2014.

Please note that at this time no date has been determined for the return of the ATF Forms 3 and Form 4 to service on the current platform. In the interim, ATF has devoted additional resources to paper forms processing within the NFA Branch to augment the volume of receipts and current pending applications.

    Sincerely yours,

    Volume.

They don't think the system can handle 3s and 4s.

There was rumor of a whole other site to handle 3s and 4s.

I've been wanting a couple more suppressors, but I don't want to wait a year for the stamps... If they aren't going to open them up for eforms, I guess I might as well get in line, the last form 4 I filed was in 2010 and took 59 days... I wish it were still like that!
