See a fellow GCGF member selling a SKS Para model that was properly identified to be a run of the mill SKS.

The one I have was purchased at MCB Camp LeJeune, Jacksonville NC in the early 1990's for my father as a gift. I had a regular model, they had had a 'truck-load sale' when the new PX opened and they were flying out the doors at $75 a pop...Once I talked to my father, he asked me to pick one up for him...post sale I went back and all they had was what was referred to as the para model, I think it was around $120. Sure pops will enjoy this I says to myself...Did I mention I'm from Chicago...anyway, it was a gift and duely transported there. I think all we did was clean it and put it back in the box...he locked it in the closet and just let it sit there...he'd take it out to show some of his old time friends from the home country, until a few years ago he asked me to take it as assault style rifles are against the law there...(yea right). Hadn't touched it myself in years...its still basically NIB minus the dood-dads that they tossed in and the bag/paper it was wrapped in...Its from Xinshidai China, imported by Ident Arms Co; Commerce, CA as best as I can make out with a 3x loupe (plus some Chinese mumbo jumbo on the receiver)...need to do some more research on this older rifle...someday I may fire it...

Great rifle and even better story. Not knowing much about these, is this new and never fired or military issued and then refurbished?

PS- Shoot that thing! Little to no kick and right down the lane, straight as an arrow!
Oh! An AK sight tool works if you need adjustments
