I have an extra 3# can of Winchester 571. Old but never opened. I have data for loading 38 SP., 40, & 45ACP plus 12 ga. mag. shotshells. Might sell for the right price.

If anybody finds some IMR 4064 let me know. I'm not running out anytime soon, I just want to make sure I don't run out. Thanks!

Bass Pro had about 12 cans on the shelf the last time I was there and I'm thinking Gold Mine had it as well. It's been one of the powders I've seen the most lately.

I'll have to take a run up there to see if they have any more.

Just found this info on the IMR web site:

IMR 4064 is one of the most versatile propellant in the IMR line, used for 223 Remington, 22-250 Remington, 220 Swift, 6mm Remington, 243 Winchester Super Short Magnum, 308 Winchester, 338 Winchester Magnum, and the list goes on and on. Versatility with uniformity and accuracy.

But mixed reviews on this powder for .223 on the AR15 forum.

I have 4064, just need pistol powder. Bass Pro has 4064 and Reloader 15 in stock, they also had Hodgdon Hi Skor 700X but I don't know anything about that powder for .45acp.

My Speer manual shows the following 45acp loads for this powder:

185 gr. TMJ @ 4.3 to 4.7 grains of powder
    200 gr. TMJ @ 5.0 to 5.5 " "
    230 gr. TMJ @ 4.6 to 5.1 " "

This was from a manual published in 1987; therefore, I would consult a later addition just to be safe.

Check out the 1911.com forum - there's a thread in their Reloading Bench section that cover's 700x used in the 45acp cartridge.
