Ended up in Newport TN. But rode highway 64 thru the ocoee to brevard. Rode thru 3 different national forests. Cherokee, nantahala, and Pisgah.

That's where both of my parents and most of my family is from, that whole area. From Elizabethton, TN to Ashville, NC and points all around. Love it. As far as winters go it's not too bad.

For a little less winter I love the Greenville, SC area. Same heat and humidity in the summer day times as here but at least when the sun goes down at night it's comfortable.

We wanted to end up in Asheville but all the hotels were booked. Rode thru Highlands, NC. Looked like a cool town.

I need to break down and go visit everyone. Haven't been back up that way in a while. It really is beautiful and Temps are moderate. Even the winters aren't that bad though I hate snow as much as the next guy.

It's a great place. My dad and I try to ride up here once a year. Be careful, it'll make you buy a motorcycle if you come up here.
