If them Caldwell bags will be range bags only (IMO) you want them as heavy yet somewhat moldable as possible.
I have the older leather bags and are filled with fine sand. --- SAWMAN

Just make sure the handles will support the weight of sand, if you plan on using them to carry the bags. Ask me how I know....

    Cat litter smells horrible.
Might as well use crushed up mothballs.

Your PSA for today- When practicing multiple reloads and dropping mags freely, wear shoes to prevent injury.

I did some checking on the new Sig RATTLER. SBR 16 inches folded (same as pistol version) 300BO can be suppressed, 5.56 version can't. The five inch barrel is going to waste a lot of powder and give poor velocity. MSRP $2700. Looks like a lot of inadequate performance in a small package. Lol

IF SIG would really come out with the upper AND the buffer tube AR conversion piece so the upper would fit and work on the AR lower (I have 2 AR SBR lowers), I'd consider it.

In one of the Sig interview vids, they stated they were going to sell Rat upper kits that would fit M4 lowers. On my Sig 556 rifles and P556 the upper carries the Ser#, so I don't know if Rat uppers need to go through a FFL.

The lower on that family (and the MCX and MPX) is the serialized part. SIGs been talking about the AR conversion part for years with nothing being made for sale to the best of my knowledge.

^ they were also supposed to release a K length barrel for MPX and that hasn't happened either, so I wouldn't hold my breath. It probably needs to go through focus group trials, market models and a selection process through the boards of 3 different departments and back through for approval. Not to mention that as far as the new gun is concerned, in 223/556, it's pretty useless. I'm no ballistics expert, but for short barrels, an expanding 9mm will perform better than a non expanding hp/sp or non tumbling fmj 223. At least that's my impression.

I've called Greener Fields in Foley and left 2 messages this week, asking about my gun that they've had for over 4 weeks now. If I don't hear by them tomorrow, I'm going to stop by in person after work.

Added two pistols to my inventory, a Ruger GP-100 .357 6" blued and a Kimber TLE. I have a Kimber custom from years ago so I think I'll keep the new one in the box for a while.

I'm trying to convince myself I don't need another Glock to shoot the GSSF match in October, but I've got this GSSF coupon that is trying to convince me otherwise. I may need to stop by Gold Mine and see what they have in the Blue Label/GSSF cabinet.

I still haven't gotten a call back from Greener Fields. I'm going to call them one more time when I leave work. If they don't answer, I'm going to go pick up my gun and tell them to forget it. I hate when someone is doing work on one of my guns and they quit taking my calls.

Sent a msg to SIG asking:

How do I get the adaptor to use the MCX upper on the AR lower? I want to put a MCX pistol upper on a SBR registered AR lower. The adaptor allows for the use of SIG buttstocks and holds the recoil springs and rods in the upper.

Is the adaptor required? One SIG commercial shows it being used and the newer commercial (viewed this week) doesn't show it being used on the AR lower. Looks too dangerous to not use the adaptor with the resulting unsecured op rod springs and rods aimed right at the shooter's face.

Why is the original MCX advertised as a 50,000 round firearm and the improved version, the Virtus, only rated at 20,000 round before parts replacement? I suggested they show this to their marketing people.

How do I get the taper cap adaptor to mount a non-SIG suppressor on the MCX 5.56 bbl?

How do I get the trip lever that allows the MCX upper to function full auto on the M16 lower? The uppers are already cut for the trip lever. The SIG bolt carrier, upon going forward, pulls the trip lever which then pulls the auto sear if the selector is set to AUTO.

FWIW, the msg was sent direct to a SIG employee who just posted a video saying send questions directly to him.
