      I bought an Uplula on Tjeeps advice,I'm not an expert but thats the best thing ever made other than the gun itself.

      Long vs standard glock barrel? 17 vs 34 specifically

      I'm just a novice...I went the standard route and couldn't be happier....long wouldn't have helped like I was thinking.I only care about home defense and a little fun shooting and mine is all I could ever ask.Standard g17's are pretty long compared to what alot of have anyways.

      Can you buy the Uplula at the sporting goods store or gotta order it?.....They are not high dollar it didnt look like so i'd pay a buck or 5 more just to buy local.

      Do they help and if so which is easiest....speed is unimportant. I have a very weak right hand(arhritis) and can only get around 10 or 12 in it by myself.Will that make it easier or just faster?

      Glock 17 almost new...its not it's fault...works good.

      I can hit a coke can every couple of trys from 40 feet(maybe 50) with time to aim.That's good with me but whats considered proficient? I know I wont be a heavy duty marksman but progress was easy cause I'm new but now it stays about the same.

      Maybe so,its possible.I'm 50 though so if things will just hang together maybe 20 more years I wont have to worry about it.I will try to find an enclave with AK's though,,,,they aint the best at anything but they are pretty good at everything.

      I just don't have much interest in shooting at the gubmint at this time,I don't think it would work out that well anyway.I get what you're saying though,you just never know.If I do have to shoot at them for some reason a bolt action Springfield .06 is the best I could do.

      I shot 150 bullets and hit about 15 mtm dew cans at..well.. not all that far away.I got familiar with it although I do need practice.Fun day though.

      Congrats to both of yall! 70 years is a lot of life experience.That's neither good or bad because I'm 50 and I dont think I learned many useful things till I was 40 ish......lol

      Thanks for the good words,I know I was and still am happy with my transaction.The folks teaching me about pistols all said it was fair.Now if I can just find cheap bullets,takes me several to hit anything but thats just me learning.The 17 is perfect,,,,like new perfect.

      I really appreciate the defense but I really don't need any because I didn't do anything wrong or break one single law.I'm not afraid of the 4473 but if its basically the same difference I'd just as soon opt out,just because I can and not have to say I wish I hadn't someday which hopefully will...
