I just carry a little to the left (strong side about 11:00). No problem. Pretty dependent on body type and sweet spot probably. I also don’t mess with sidecars, so I don’t know if that makes a difference in not having it centered over the junk.

But yes, the frame is the "gun" for FFL purposes. Aftermarket parts selection basically is dependent on the popularity of the model you choose, but Glock far and away has the most prolific aftermarket available.
The main problem I see with using FMJ for bear lies in factory ammo. The companies who make hardcast “bear loads” for 10mm load to full power. You’d be hard pressed to find factory FMJ loaded for anything but target shooting, in which case you’re not getting that Grizzly power you’re looking at...
