The 1873 is the cattleman model, 5.5” barrel and .357 mag / .38 spl which matches the caliber of my Winchester ‘92. Will get pics of both items up tomorrow
Remington made 1903A3 for sale, very good 4-groove bore. The action was drilled for a scope which is included, as is the bayonet, sporter stock and type C, 2 stripper clips, ammo belt, and sling. Good shooter - open to trades
1903A3 made by Remington. Also a very nice bore with 4 rifle grooves and the good “Type C” stock. At some point someone drilled the receiver for a scope mount - that can easily be deleted with some blind screws. I’ll include a sporter stock and scope, as well as the bayonet, sling and cartridge...
Thank you! I have the wolf book, as well as “the paper jacket” - will look at the others. It was very difficult to measure my slug with the trapdoor as it’s got 3 rifling grooves
I am also sorting out an original trapdoor - as-cast 405 hollow base sized .459 worked well over the AA5744 but leaded the barrel badly. The 500g govt shot equally poorly as in the sharps.
I have that same rifle and have not been able to get it to shoot right yet - tried some Lyman 457125 cast 1:20 500gr govt rounds over A5744 and got keyholes. What round did you use that was .442? Would love to hear your load process
