I have the guy who started PFC on my Facebook page. I will contact him and see if he wants to get on here and clarify this. I saw his work in the beginning and it was amazing. The only reason I didn't get something coated was I didn't have a gun that needed/warranted a good refinish.
I just picked up a Bersa 380 from him. Everything was as described and at a great price. He was easy to get ahold of and set up a meet. He had 2 Bill of Sales already filled in with his info. I would do business with him again in the future.
A+
I'm not against breaking in a barrel. I am planning on doing it, I was talking to guys at work that said it's a myth. I just figured most everybody did the break in but I was wrong. I don't see a down side to doing it so I would still do it anyways. After alittle research most manufacturers...
Thanks for the responses. Nate, your response is the best one I've seen so far, nobody could tell me why most of the manufacturers recommend a break in procedure.
I've got a new, cheap 24" AR barrel and a Remington 700 243. I was wondering what's everybody's take on the barrel break in procedure? Do you do a break in or not, and what is your reasoning behind it? I will do the break in on my AR barrel just because it is only an $80 barrel and I think it...
I need the largest outside diameter of a .936 gas block. I ordered a barrel from classicfirearms.com that originally said it had a .875 gas block so everything I ordered was compatible with the mid sized gas block. I am not sure I can use this rail, which has a proprietary barrel nut, with a...
Mark Mason does amazing work bluing and refinishing them ingeneral. I will see if i have his contact info. He had a shop in Pace but I'm not sure if he still has a storefront.
I'm looking for odd lots and left overs to test out of my new rifle. If you've got 20+ projectiles that your gun didn't like, I'll take them off your hands and clear your bench up some. Same with 243 Winchester brass cases.
